jeune design norvégien et suédois
Meet My Project monte des expositions, à Paris et Milan, mettant en relation prototypes et projets libres à l’édition avec des fabricants, des distributeurs et des éditeurs.
Intéressé par les propositions des jeunes designers suédois et norvégiens, présentés par Meet My Project-Paris 2012 au Lieu du Design, le Zap a rencontré Caroline, Jonas et Martin, au dîner organisé par les Ambassades de Norvège et de Suède au Centre Culturel Suédois (mais il n’y avait pas de Ferrero Rocher).
Editeurs, galeristes, journalistes, commissaires d’expo et designers ont festoyé et échangé impressions & inspirations.
Meet My Project produces exhibitions in Paris and Milan putting together prototypes and copyright free projects for manufacturers and distributors of design objects.
We were aroused by the proposals of the young Swedish and Norwegian designers presented by Meet My Project. We met Caroline, Jonas and Martin at an embassy-organised-dinner in the Swedish Cultural Center (no sign of a Ferrero Rocher though).
Design editors, gallery owners, journalists, curators and designers feasted and exchanged impressions & inspirations.

Pensée pour les citadins qui fuient la ville pour une pause nature, l’Urban Shelter de Martin Solem s’adapte à toutes les générations, lounge pour boire une bière sur un plaid, confort pour les plus de 40 ans qui préfèrent table et bancs. Nous imaginions son module dans un parc ou au bord d’une plage, Martin plutôt sur une aire de repos d’autoroute.
« A home space when you leave the city » on adhère au design pour tous !
A weekend, with Martin (Norway) designed for the urban professionals fleeing the city, Martin Solem’s Urban Shelter is suitable for every generation. A lounge seat for a nice cuppa on a blanket, or bench and table for the over forties who like their comfort. We can already see it in a park or on a beach, Martin’s vision, ever so prosaic, is that of a highway rest area. “A Home When You leave the city” we say yes to the one-design-fits-all!
Une dînette avec Caroline (Norvège)
Friend design, pet design ? La table Bambi de Caroline Olsson (en bouleau de norvège, bien évidemment) allie imaginaire, technique et pratique. Touchante avec son air modeste, en table basse, aux pieds repliés, elle devient table solide pour un dîner à 4. « It seems fragile but it is stable » on l’adopte, elle est trop mignonne !
A children tea party with Caroline (Norway)
Friend design, pet design? Caroline Olsson’s Bambi table (Norway birch, of course) combines imagination, technique and practicality. A modest coffee table with folded legs, it springs into a sturdy table for four. “It seems fragile but it is stable”, we want one, it’s too cute!

Son ambition, une lumière douce, mais qui éclaire. Travaillant l’ombre, la réflection et l’atmosphère, Jonas Forsman a imaginé Parasol, un luminaire intrigant et poétique. Socle en métal laqué contenant des LED relié à un réflecteur orientable. “I love playing with the light magic “. On adore.
An experiment with Jonas (Sweden)
His ambition, a soft light that lights nonetheless. Working with shadow, reflection and atmosphere, Jonas Forsman imagined Parasol, an intriguing and poetic lamp. A lacquered metal base containing LED bulbs connected to a rotatable reflector. “I love playing with the light magic.” We simply love it.
